Means a lot to me that BCOM was not forgotten. Thank you for adding this calendar event and using the sexy logo I made way back when. SK did, in fact, gain a handful of amazing members with the merger. I wish circumstances would have been different and BCOM could've stood the test of time alongside alliances like SK. It had a professional theme and structure, and a damn sexy look if you ask me (I could be partial). I miss those times but BCOM never lasted more than a few months in any of its iterations (here, CN, PT). Hope you all are doing well. Reagan

    Game of Thrones in IMAX?

According to this article at IGN, some die hards will have the opportunity to watch some GoT on the big screen. It'll be the first tv show ever to grace the big screen. I have an AMC IMAX and an IMAX at the Challenger Learning Center in Tallahassee, FL where I work. I have to admit, I wouldn't mind seeing some GoT in all of it's glorious form on the silver screen. Hoping it plays in my town!

I have. Watched it on Netflix, actually. To be honest, I thought it was a pretty damn good film.

Blacklist is good. I've only seen the first 3-4 episodes, but I was intrigued. Had to finish other shows, though. I plan to get back into it at some point.

Well, The Interview is now available for rent or purchase through your PC or Xbox. I may cap the night off by watching it. If I do, I'll let you know if it's worth the hype.

I finally got around to starting up Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's a decent show. I'm a big fan of MARVEL and the films. I've seen them all, including Winter Soldier. The show is decent enough to keep watching. If it wasn't for Coulson, I'd probably lose interest, though. Jaime, I've heard The Shield is a really good show and I may watch it someday, but I've seen so many crime dramas over the years that I'm pretty much spent on them. Only thing left in that arena that grabs my attention is True Detective. First season was great. Looking forward to the 2nd.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

I finished Episode 1. It takes roughly 2 1/2 hours of game play to complete. Now, the graphics are very subpar, but that's not the reason you play Telltale games. There were also a couple of minor glitches I noticed, and on one occasion, the script seemed to read as though I had made a different choice than one I did, although I don't think it was anything impactful. There were multiple times that I actually made choices, didn't like the direction I felt things were heading, and immediately paused the game and started over from the last save point. Playing the game is tense. It's, of course, a very low key game in terms of action. 90% is dialogue based, but it evokes the same uneasiness and discomfort I get when watching the show...fear of what may happen next, implications of decisions made that may not surface until later in the season, and the realization that just as in the show, no one in Game of Thrones is safe! Playing the game, some decisions made have no impact as far as altering the course of the story, and others do. In some instances where I started over, making a different choice still had the same immediate outcome when I replayed and made a different choice. There are often times when a message appears in the corner of the screen informing you that someone "will remember that", and dread sets in! Is that a bad thing? What have I done? What does this mean?! At the end of the episode, you get a preview of the next installment, which I thought was pretty cool. The preview you get is put together based on decisions you've made. The game comes with 4 save files. I'm very tempted to play back through and make decisions completely opposite of my previous choices to see if there is a dramatic turn of events or not. It's enticing. This type of game may not be for everyone, and I would dare say it's certainly not for anyone who isn't up to speed on the show. Sometimes knowing where main characters are in the show, what their personalities are like, and so forth can affect your decision making when dealing with them. Encountering major characters in the show is also a treat. I won't divulge who they are, but you will have interaction with at least 4 well known characters in the first episode. So there it is, my personal opinions on the game. Can't wait for the next episode!
  10. Telltale Games, the makers of episodic adventure games such as The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands, released Episode 1 of their new Game of Thrones game. The game runs concurrently with the end of Season 3 of the TV series and up until just shy of the beginning of season 5. The first episode, titled Iron From Ice, places the player in the shoes of a young squire in House Forrester, which controls the Ironwood forest. Throughout the story, you will be given decisions to quickly make, and those decisions alter the course of the game. As I played through the opening scene, I found myself instantly intrigued. Having no prior knowledge of how the game would tie into the series, I was very interested to see where it would take me. Just a few minutes in and I found myself outside of the Twins, where the events of the infamous Red Wedding were about to unfold within. The game didn't take me inside the event, but placed me in another perspective dealing with action on the outside. Shortly thereafter, I was treated to the opening title sequence which mirrored the opening in the tv series, complete with the musical score that GoT fans get pumped up for when they hear it. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting it, and it really excited me! When it was over and the game was about to continue, I had to pause and take a moment to draft this quick intro, given that we are the Seven Kingdoms and I'm sure there are other GoT fans among you (except Tenages, but he's obviously delusional). I'm playing on Xbox One, but it's available on 360, PS3, PS4, Windows, and OS X. Each episode is $5, and from what I've seen so far, it's going to be well worth it.

Think I'm gonna finally try to get into S.H.I.E.L.D. now that the first season is on Netflix.

I remember those. I like hearing the stories behind them, which is why I started this thread. Yours actually have meaning to them, versus picking things to match your alliance (which is basically what I did). I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds and had no idea who (Brad Pitt) was supposed to be or what significance it held. Good story.

    Any CoD Gamers (Xbox One)?

That's the general consensus, Cody. A lot of positive feedback from the gamers out there. I'm loving the campaign and the multi-player. It has a lot in common with Black Ops 2, which is my personal favorite before now. So many challenges in the multi-player to work towards. The exo suits are a game changer, but not to the point that it's overpowered or difficult to play. It's just fun. My only gripe is that most team death matches only last about 6 minutes. Each match is scheduled for 10 minutes, or first team to 75 points (same as will previous entries), but with the speed of the kills, given the additional mobility, they seldom make it past that 6 minute mark. I wish they'd up the points to 100. Other than that, I also really like playing Hard Point. For the people who just can't adapt to the new style, there are classic play options that allow you to play without the exo suit abilities, which is also pretty cool.
