Think I'm gonna finally try to get into S.H.I.E.L.D. now that the first season is on Netflix.

After watching a certain episode in Shield, you NEED to watch Captain America: Winter Soldier, then resume watching shield.

I think "Turn Turn Turn" is the one you might want to see Captain America before watching.

If you're going to watch anything with "Shield" in the title it should be "The Shield" that aired on FX not that long ago.  Gritty police drama was incredible experience and you just have to root for Vic Mackey even if he is an asshole. :)

I finally got around to starting up Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  It's a decent show.  I'm a big fan of MARVEL and the films. I've seen them all, including Winter Soldier.  The show is decent enough to keep watching.  If it wasn't for Coulson, I'd probably lose interest, though.

Jaime, I've heard The Shield is a really good show and I may watch it someday, but I've seen so many crime dramas over the years that I'm pretty much spent on them.  Only thing left in that arena that grabs my attention is True Detective.  First season was great.  Looking forward to the 2nd.

The Shield is not a normal crime drama.  I mean, the cops are kind of the criminals in this one.

I don't think I saw anyone mention it, so I'll say Arrow. As you might think, its about the Green Arrow, though a bit modified from the comics. Its kind of CW's attempt to cash in on the Batman success, given that the two heros have similar styles (dark/broody super rich playboys turned crimefighters), though arrow kills people.

I'll be honest and say that the show gets a bit repetative after you've gone in several episodes. but I still find it extremely enjoyable.

The last Hobbit movie was awesome, but I liked the Desolation of Smaug the best.

Well, The Interview is now available for rent or purchase through your PC or Xbox.  I may cap the night off by watching it.  If I do, I'll let you know if it's worth the hype.

It takes a while to get started. Honestly, the first half of the first season is pretty eh. It ramps up, though (Agents of Shield had a similar problem). Currently one of my favourite shows, and the spinoff Flash is shaping up to be just as good right off the bat.

I couldn't continue with Arrow myself, had the same problem with The Flash.  Dialogue and acting was nauseatingly bad and the relationships between the characters... cringeworthy.  Perhaps both get better as they go but hard to slog through when I just want to facepalm throughout the episodes.  CW shows so I'm not surprised.  Only decent show the network has is Supernatural and I haven't gotten through Season 6 as yet so can't say whether it is as good as it was.

That said I hope anyone who gives it a try enjoys it, I like seeing comic themed shows succeed, I just with they were written better.

I'll just throw The Imitation Game out there as a recommendation for a film to not seem all negative.  Amazing film on Alan Turing, I hope to see Benedict Cumberbatch get nominated come Oscar time.

Possibly the worse actor in Arrow was Sarah, everything about her just made me want to slam my face into a wall as soon as she appeared.

Season 2 was torture to watch most of the time, I can't recall if there was any good episodes story-wise.

Blacklist is good.  I've only seen the first 3-4 episodes, but I was intrigued.  Had to finish other shows, though.  I plan to get back into it at some point.

I have. Watched it on Netflix, actually. To be honest, I thought it was a pretty damn good film.
