I liked Death Note but it seemed like it went on for too long.

It certainty did, with Mellow and Near, but the rest is fantastic while the said part was a only a little bit over average

Surprisingly educational about economics. 9/10 might trade goods again.

Not uncommonly, as was mentioned, the LN or Mango is better than the Animu. Baka-tsuki has the widest selection of LNs I've seen, and also has some mangos.

"The Spice & Wolf series is now published in English by Yen Press, part of the Hachette Book Group, and can be purchased in most larger book stores both physical and virtual. Because of this, it is no longer available in English on this site."

What is the point of the site if I have to pay for a physical copy?  Lame.  I suppose will probably do the same with other popular titles.

As a person that owns the first few light novels (pretty much all covered in the anime), I can confirm this. Though, the anime still is not bad and definitely worthwhile.

Reminds me, I really should continue reading World End Economica. It's also by Isuna Hasekura, who wrote S&W, though instead of old times travelling merchant life, it is in a futuristic stock market. Honestly, it is more entertaining than it sounds.

I hope they make World End into an anime. I've read the LNs and played the VN, and I think that it'd be similar to S&W.

A new anime I've been watching is the Disappearance of Nagato Yuki, a spinoff of Haruhi series. Pretty much continues to underline that Nagato is, in fact, best girl.

I've been watching Nagato too, but Haruhi is still best girl

From what I read, none of the characters have any of their abilities but are just regular high schoolers in this show.  Just slice of life.  Rather odd choice to make I have to say as Haruhi's godhood was the driving force of the the original series...

Agreed, but it's still enjoyable (After you drop the fact that the other series exists)

Probably explains its low rating then, I'll give the show a go and attempt to forget the previous series exists when seeing it so I don't mentally compare them (I'll really try).  I'm just puzzled why these characters would be used if they are nothing like their other selves in a different world (though my understanding is his series has no connection whatsoever with the others).  I hope its not just an attempt to get viewership by using the characters from a popular show, I'm hoping for more than a generic high school show after all.

Haruhi forbid the SOS Brigade actually does literature club activities. ;)

Took me until the third episode to actually enjoy it, and I'm assuming you know Haruhi is kidna secretly god, so this is probably a new universe from her mind.

Oh yes, Haruhi is god even if she isn't allowed to flex those godly muscles.  Shame really.

See, that's where you're wrong.

Haruhi is god

That'd be Kanade Tachibana, actually.

Just finished Denpa Teki no Kanojo. People sometimes say Bakemonogatari was an acid trip, but these two OVAs were the real deal.

In no particular order, my top 10 anime shows (no movies) would be:

  1. Steins;Gate
  2. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
  3. Neon Genesis Evangelion
  4. Cowboy Bebop
  5. Mushi-Shi
  6. Serial Experiments Lain
  7. FLCL
  8. Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  9. Planetes
  10. Paranoia Agent

This was surprisingly hard, I could probably go another 10 easy, without feeling that any are much better than the others.

So, they're making anime of Gate: Long words in Japanese about the JSDF, and Monster Musume. The first was arguably one of the best mango I've ever read, and one of the most intelligent(also, militarily accurate). Second is arguably the most perverted and also pretty funny. Any anime coming out this summer anyone else is looking forwards to?

Looking through the summer 2015 chart the only anime that catches my interest is Million Doll.  Everything is just so generic these days.  Have to wait until the summer shows start airing and I can see how people start rating on MAL before I decide whether to start something of not.  I'm more apt to start an older show than a new one anyway.
